Rustic Reception or Barn Wedding

The Texas Tumbleweed Barn was built in 1927 as an oil field supply store.  In the early 1930s, it was purchased by Joe Clayton and used as a feed store for many years.  The barn was located next to the railroad depot in Bryson, and often hosted local events such as rodeos. In addition, it was the holding station for the cattle who were picked up by the railroad on the last stop before the Fort Worth Stock Yards.  In May of 2017, Randy Martin with Texas Flip and Move physically moved the barn 1.4 miles to it's current location.   The barn is now climate controlled and has a 3000 square foot covered patio attached.   It sits on top of a hill on 500 acres with a pond at the foot of the hill.  The lights in the barn yard come on at dusk, and it is gorgeous!

Many options are available such as horse drawn carriages, a chuck wagon, an ice cream wagon, bounce house with a sitter and much more!  Contact Susan to schedule a tour!

You will find we are very flexible as we allow you to bring your alcohol, although our bartender serves it.  We do have a preferred vendors list to help brides find the perfect local vendor OR we can offer our coordinator who will do it all for you.

Painted Lakes Venue offers a Pony Express service (designated drivers) that will transport guests upon request to and from your local hotel if you plan to drink.  We also offer overnight accommodations with the wedding packages that include a bunk house so you can stay onsite.

We also offer a skeet shooting option for the guys, and any ladies who would like to join them!  This tends to keep the groom happy!

We do not restrict vendors, so it's your choice who caters your meal, decorates for your wedding etc.
